Have You Heard About the Chiron Return? What It Is and How I’m Living Through Mine
Around the age of 49 to 51 many people who follow astrology talk about a turning point called the Chiron Return. I am in the thick of mine right now, and I want to share what it has brought up for me, why it matters, and how I am working through the challenges so I can step more fully into the second half of life.
What is the Chiron Return?
In simple terms, the Chiron Return happens roughly at midlife. Think of it as a checkpoint where old wounds, unresolved patterns, and hidden challenges resurface. The purpose is not to punish you but to give you a chance to face and heal things that you may have thought were already done with.
Layman’s version: if you can work through this material now, you build a stronger foundation and gain momentum for your life after 50. For me that momentum becomes a call to leadership, role modelling, and a clearer expression of my purpose.
What usually comes up during this time for me?
Old wounds and patterns you assumed were healed
Questions about your voice and visibility: Do people care? Am I heard?
Fear of not fitting in, or of being misunderstood
A push to take on a more visible or leadership-oriented role
These themes are not just spiritual fluff. They are practical issues that affect how I work, create, and impact others.

My experience: the wounds and the mission
This period has pulled up the theme of silence for me: not speaking up, feeling unheard, and doubting whether anyone cares about what I share. Those feelings show up in small ways, like counting likes and comments on social posts or wondering whether my music or products reach anyone at all.
At the same time, this is the moment where my life’s purpose gets louder. I am here to share—musical and non-musical offerings—and to help others express themselves. That mission matters whether a post gets 10 likes or 10,000. I have learned that people often follow quietly; sometimes they reach out later to say a piece of content landed at exactly the right time.
I also bring other life context into this return. I have been working in disability for 25 years and, in that work, I have been a leader and a guide for clients. Yet personally I have sometimes defaulted to being a follower. The Chiron material is challenging me to claim leadership externally as well as internally.
Human design and my role
In human design terms, I am a 2/4 Emotional Manifester. My purpose is to make impact and initiate. The Chiron Return is asking me to step into that role , to stop shrinking and start initiating with confidence—even when it feels risky.
Practical ways I am working through the Chiron Return
Shadow work and healing practices: actively addressing the parts of me that stay quiet or doubt worthiness
Creative releases: launching an e-book and preparing a new song as expressions of my work and voice
Showing up regardless of immediate validation: posting, creating, and offering because someone needs it even if they do not respond publicly
Reframing engagement: remembering that quiet followers can still be deeply affected by what I share
Playing the long term game that content, products and offerings can be found, seen and purchased later.
These actions are not a quick fix. They are steady choices to show up and to trust that consistent presence builds influence and impact over time.
If you are going through your Chiron (or any Astrological) Return
You are not alone. Whether you are 49, 50, 51, or encountering similar material earlier or later, the invitation is the same: do the work.
That might look like:
Doing shadow work or therapy to face persistent patterns
Practicing speaking up, even in small ways
Creating and sharing without tying your worth to likes
Claiming the possibility of being a role model or leader in whatever field you serve.
Working through these wounds creates a platform for the second half of life. If you clear the blockages now, you can gain momentum and step into a more sovereign expression of yourself.
Why I have hope
I believe we are moving through a period of change on Earth. There are challenges and what I call teething problems, but there is also tremendous potential for collective growth. Part of my mission is to help creatives and non-creatives alike find their voice, claim sovereignty, and express authentically.
So, even when it feels uncomfortable to keep sharing, I will continue. I will keep releasing music, writing, and offering products and services that help people express themselves because I know the impact can be quiet and delayed, but real.
Keep going. Do the shadow work. Keep showing up. You are building the foundation for the second half of your life.
